1) Is a qualified member allowed to see only his own rating or all the ratings of all qualified members?

A: Everyone on the planet will be allowed to see the ratings of all qualified members. We also are planning an introductory period in which ALL players will be considered "qualified" (i.e. the rating list will start full rather than empty).

2) Regarding rankings, is a player's ranking based upon all players in the database or based only upon the subset of qualified members?

A: Initially, there will be no numeric rank assigned to players. Just an ordered list. Therefore ranks will effectively be only relative to others in list (i.e. qualified members).

3) Is there any differentiation/separation in the ratings between players of different skill levels (i.e. based upon the events they enter -- Open, Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner)?

There is initially no differentiation in ratings by skill level. However because each event is categorized by skill level, such differentiation may be possible in the future.
