1. For years I have questioned anyone who says the dice on the computer are rigged against them, and I have been willing to put my money where my mouth is and do trial runs to prove they are wrong. Simply put, I think everyone tends to see the dice going against them; 2. Anyone who designs a computer program knows that it is in his best interest to see that the dice are fair...if they are not, it is easy to prove it is not fair, and that discredits his program. Having said that, however, if I were a dishonest designer of a backgammon program, I would program the computer to cheat in favor of the player so that the player gets more enjoyment out of the product and that way, I would sell more of the product.
