Rehashing "Luck"

Not sure what was inferred to have been implied but I didn't mean to imply much and can't contribute any original research. I said only that "courriel" originated in Quebec (that much seems to be true) and that "courriel is apparently widely used in Quebec." Maybe that's not true or no longer true or will soon not be true.
Random datapoints: the wikipedia article on Quebec French says "courriel" is a Quebecism but doesn't say how widely used it is; a uk.answers.yahoo.co writer self-identified as a native French speaker in 2008 claimed that "courriel" is "widely accepted" in Quebec; in a BBC article a native of Quebec says "Et c'est un terme qui a eu beaucoup de succès," but I can't find a date for the original report; and another native of Quebec at forum.wordreference.com in 2007 writes "In Québec we use courriel, but when I call someone in France they always use e-mail instead of courriel. When I say courriel, most of them don't know the word."
Electromail, anyone? Nah ...
