Why is that? Because the hypothesis to be tested is based on the data that will be used to test it? (Here: computer enters more easily than Greg, leading to the hypothesis, to be tested, that statistically chances to enter are the same for both?) I am asking because I am curious; in economics, often you test hypotheses on the basis of data gathered in the past.
