Even I wouldn't take this, so the question must be: "play on for the G?"
I count seven rolls {2-1, 6-2, 6-3, 3-3} that leave the blot on the 2-point. Opp still has to hit it, so that means about 6.5% of the time we get sent back off the deuce and maybe 1.5% we get hit on the freshly blotted 7-point. Even when we get hit, 3/4 of the time XG is still behind a five prime. Bottom line is that 92% of the time we either have an easy cash or a continued play-on.
Our gammon chances look awfully juicy, with opp only having five checker home.
