XG question: Double point at -2,-2

Does white have a double after blue's 55? Looks like the answer is no. If that is the case and blue still has a take after his worst roll of 21 then the double is mandatory.

By logic, yes. But not necessarily by (long) rollout, which is how you are arbitrating the answer (you see, I thought that might be the point of the puzzle). That said, if Snowie's evaluation had not claimed "NO DOUBLE," I wouldn't have brought it up. I'm just using Snowie's eval (which fulfills your conditions as stated) as our best rollout evidence until somebody shows something better (and of course it won't surprise me if that happens).

Sorry if you don't like my answer. Apparently you are after some other way of threading the needle -- one that's harder to disprove by logic. :)
