Suppose Marco enters three events. In event 1 there are 31 players and he gets a bye. In events 2 and 3 there are 33 players and he misses the bye each time. His expected number of byes was 1/31 + 31/33 + 31/33 which is close to 2. This player only got one bye and is nearly a bye behind being even. His bye score is just barely positive though at 1/32.

Let's compare to Carla who played one event with 31 players and missed the bye. Carla's expected number of byes was 1/31. She got 0 and is just barely behind her expected number. She has a small BS of 1/32.

Is it desirable for it to be equal to Marco's?
