Was it one of the first tv commercials? pay now for dental prophylaxis and not later for dental repair as metaphor for pay now for motor oil not later for car repair?

THE PROBLEM IS to be or not to be. The commercial is misleading. It is not ALWAYS true it is efficient to pay now.
