Do your plays leaving blots in your outer board change if your opp. has a much better board?

I doubt my plays would change in this specific situation. It is hard to change this position into something where I would worry about a couple of indirects immediately over my long term goal of bringing everyone home. There are of course other positions where I wouldn't leave the indirects and prefer immediate safety if my opponent's position was vastly different. I would need to see the positions before committing one way or another.
