Hit? Play safe? Slot?

My response was unclear. My play is not completely safe at b/22 8/7. My 8 point is blotted. I do not want to have blots at both the 5 and the 7. I would not play the safe play of b/22 7/6.

I suspect that one blot would put me in a better position to eventually build my board. The strategy at this point is simple. Build your board. Wait for your shot. Hopefully, hit your opponent with 6, 5, 4, and more built. Do not bury in checkers. Abandon your bar post if necessary to avoid crunching and buried checkers.
