I remember this one: 24/18 by a lot.

Funny, I remembered this one differently. So, I looked it up. I have a Snowie rollout (possibly sent by you or Stick years ago) and a trunc (-ated rollout) that more or less agrees:
[d R8 S33] 5k full (no live cube)
[d R13 N26 Z36 S32 E33 D67] 3k truncKey: d = alt down (13/7), R = Run (24/18), S = Split/Scoot (24/20 13/11), N = 13/11 6/2), Z = reverse split/scoot (24/22 13/9), E = Each (24/22 6/2), D = Down (13/11 13/9). Error sizes are in thousandths. Number of trials is in thousands (k), rounded down. So, "[d R8 S33] 5k" means that d is best, R is -.008 and S is -.033.
I'm surprised that Jellyfish puts 24/18 on top by "a lot." Is it possible that you're confusing it with another position? Anyway, it will be interesting to see how it's rolled out by a third bot.
I like your explanation of the deflection play, and for sure running to the 18pt with a lone back checker (with a left-over 6 pips) is stronger than most people think -- it is often rejected out of hand even when it is a close play as it appears to be here.
I love whiners and crybabies and I love to hear them cry and whine.
About thirty years ago, my phone number spelled CRYBABY backwards. My mother got frustrated trying to dial it until I gave it to her in numbers (922-2972).
