Charlie Coon, not Koon

I played against him in an early round of an ACBL regional knockout teams in Boston in the mid 1970's -- the guy drank (sipped, more accurately) whiskey throughout the session and played quite well -- better than us, for sure. Don't remember much about his backgammon rep, but Charlie Coon (not Koon) was unquestionably a world-class bridge player in his time. He may have even gotten to the Bermuda Bowl back in the 1960's -- can't remember for sure.
