As much as I'd like to make the 5-point, it seems to me that doing so gives opp two direct escape dice (4's and 6's) and one of those hits a blot at the same time.

8(2) is a candidate, leaving only our back checker as a blot and maintaining the close race.

Hitting 8/3* (I guess 10/8 being the deuce, although 24/22 may be better) is another contender. However, opp has the better board which usually argues against a loose homeboard hit. (Exception? Don't think so.)

I do see other possibilities, such as {13/6} ; {13/11, 10/5}, and {24/22, 13/8}. These tweener plays have similar (discussed) relatives which I prefer.

Bottom line for me is that we don't need to force the issue, as we're not in particular danger and the aggressive plays still leave less-than-pretty positions/situations.

13/8, 10/8.
