Three -player playoff format

Lets hope this doesn't happen and I don't expect that it will in the Champ event with 40-50 expected players and paying 8-3's and better. My sims showed that it is very unlikely to have three 9-2's unless the tourney is significantly larger.
If somehow, there's three 9-2's what about earlier byes? To me if two of the three had byes, then we know who is getting a bye into the finals and there should be no monetary penalty. Similarily if only one had an early bye, he should not be eligible for another bye and should not receive monetary compensation and we can figure out what is fair between the other two players.
It seems better to me, lets assume we have three at 9-2 and three at 8-3 (will likely need a field larger than 50) to just play another round of Swiss for those 6 players, all of whom cash. Only the 9-2's can win the event outright since one of them should survive with out a 3rd loss whereas some of the 8-3's will go 9-3 and place equal with the losing 9-2's who are also 9-3 and place above the losing 8-3's who are now 8-4.
Once again, I stress that is practice this is all basically common sense and will be lots easier than it may sound.
