Do you really think there's any money in the game as it is now?

I really don't know. I kind of wish I knew how many people there are out there who make their entire living playing backgammon. Is it zero? 10? More? No clue.

Everyone that has met me over the years said they were expecting a much bigger prick than what they received in person.

I'll admit to that.

I care because I do want bg to succeed and I like to know if my thought process is off. I am more than willing to listen to everyone and reanalyze what I thought about something but it seems others are not as willing to either listen or admit at the end of the day they were or could be wrong.

You can't convince people who are clueless. They'll form an opinion, informed or not, and stick with it, no matter what. If you're comfortable that you give more to the game than you take from it (and I'm sure you do), then don't sweat it. It's easy to criticize Stick Rice. You ARE an asshole online.
