Matt,

Nice, well worded post. I actually agree with everything you said. And, I think your kudos to Bill Davis were sincere and kind.

I also think you are missing one major point: The "owner" of the club (BD) clearly wants everyone to enter the tournament. And right or wrong, it clearly bothers him when people chouette without entering the tournament.

It's his club, so it seems reasonable that he make the rules. It's a little like living at home; you follow your parents' rules even if you think they are unreasonable.
