Insightful comment about luck versus skill

Interesting.

Tic-tac-toe is, I think, a game of pure skill. I play this game perfectly and will either win or draw, always. It is a game of skill. And if you play perfect, you'll never lose. But this is a simple game that is easy to analyze completely. Thinking about a game of pure skill that has not been completely analyzed, or where the more skillful player always wins, is more complicated, if at all possible.

The 'who is younger' game is not a game, because you cannot influence the result. Even if you'd try to lose, you could not.
