I loved the TV commentator's, David Feherty, comments during the time the ruling was being discussed -- and, if I'm not mistaken, he has played professionally. He said it never crossed his mind that the ball might have been in a 'bunker' and said that, with all the trampled down grass, no lip, etc., that it "didn't look like a bunker, it looked more like a manger".

I'll wager any sum that the PGA will indirectly admit they made a mistake. The PGA Championship is scheduled for Whistling Straits again in 2015 -- and my wageer is the same rule will not apply. If all 'bunkers' -- inside and outside the ropes -- are considered bunkers, people won't be standing in them.
