This reminds me of some unsolicited advice that Ray gave MCG on GammonVillage. Ray wrote:

You didn't mention it but having spent a LOT of time on less relevant plays early in a match you were forced to hurry @ the end of it when making a mistake could have had match losing significance. A good example of youthful match mis-management.

I wonder if Ray was guilty of "youthful mis-management" himself?
