Closer to home means more likely to get home free if missed. That argues for 16/13. But 16/13 gives 1s, 2s, 5-3, 4-4, 6-3, 5-4 and 3-3 to hit: 28 numbers. 16/14 2/1 gives 2s, 3s, 1-1, 5-4, 6-4 and 5-5: 26 numbers. Is 2/36 fewer hits worth 1 pip further from home? I think so, so I play 16/14 2/1.
