There can be a software bug that can causes the dice to seem random based on some measures, yet cause the luck factor to change.

For example, imagine that the dice algorithm had a bug such that the prior roll of the dice was more likely to appear again on the next roll. The distribution of each possible roll would still average out over time to 1/36 or 1/18, but the overall luck would be affected. For example, if a given roll does not enter from the bar, the same roll repeated will also not enter from the bar (unlucky).
