I'd pay off to 15 shots, knowing that when hit, only 4-6 closes opp's board while 4-1, 4-4, and 2-2 allow opp to clean up the blot (although don't know that would be correct).

2(2) and 5/1*, 6/3 uglify and White can play without crunching after those. Also, getting hit on your acepoint brings G's into play more than getting hit on the 13-point. If opp enters on your 4-point quickly you'll still have the problem of clearing the midpoint (and you are stripped).
