After he realized the error, one of the players insisted that his statement was binding and took the 3. Taki was a nice guy and just said "forget it." So we played the game out and later our little Giant recubed us to 8 which both Taki and I took. In a couple of rolls, I setting paying 1 point (I gave away a little equity as it was probably closer to a wash). Taki would not settle. Our little Giant proceeded to roll doubles on the last roll to win. Poor Taki...punished for being a nice guy. And that caused me to quip: "Nice guys finish boards."
