So, the little giant rolled a set on the last roll in order to win 8 pts from Taki. This means that either Taki missed a giant redouble immediately preceeding the necessary doubles to win, or that Taki himself rolled a set immediately prior to being rolled over. Which in turn indicates that either the little giant probably deserved his win, by virtue of equalizing Taki's set, or Taki butchered a redouble - which I find hard to believe.

It may be asking much, but can I ask what the position was that the redouble to 4 happened on? I recognize that this is merely an anecdotal story, but it did raise some questions in my mind as to what kind of position warrants a RD/T to 4, then an immediate partial settlement of 3 to be accepted. Maybe you can show me at Madison.
