Small Board in Florida. Comments?

For a final match, it seems inconceivable to me that a neutral board could not be found. That would be my choice, with the players required to agree to said neutral board if it met reasonable expectations of being considered "standard".
But if no neutral board can be found, I don't like the idea of the bigger board automatically winning out. What if a player with impaired color vision can't tell the pink from the olive-green checkers? What if the point colors contrast so little that more visual errors than usual are to be expected? What if, and I had this experience once and promise to throw a hissy fit if ever expected to repeat it, the opponent's board includes dice cups held together by being wrapped in duct tape?
I don't know what the larger and smaller boards looked like in the case you are describing. But I do like the idea of "director's discretion" rather than a policy favoring the larger board automatically. That "discretion" should include the director being allowed to overrule the normal "roll for it" equipment selection process.
