High-quality tabletop boards will be provided at the US Open in Florida in 2011 and they will be stored and used at the Florida Champs as well. This will avoid discussions in the future. This is a new service on ABT tournaments which is costly but very convenient for players who will only need to travel with their set of dice. Letīs see how many will bitch because of the higher fees to be paid...

In this specific case, while Sasanīs board was indeed smaller, Mikeīs board was a bit worn out and if I remember well, the triangles were stitched, which makes it more difficult to move the checkers.

However, none of the players had a problem to roll for the baord and accepted the toss. They both played without incidents and Mike won, so no big deal.

Also, if I remember well, they were paired against eachother in another event later that weekend and played on Mikeīs board.
