What other possibilities are there where players still have contact but it is impossible for the player on roll to lose a backgammon?
Here are a few that I can think of. (Assume white is on roll.)
(1) Black has a checker on the bar. White has all his checkers on p1.
(2) Black has a checker on the bar. White has 1 or more checkers on p2 (but not 5, 9, or 13) and the rest on p1.
(3) Black has a checker on the bar. White has 1 checker on p3 or p4 and the rest on p1.
(4) White has 1 or more checkers on p3 (but not 5, 9, or 13) and the rest on p1. Black has enough checkers on white's p2 that he won't blot before white's p3 is cleared (or white bears off).
