For a large value of n let the score be White 3 * 2^n away Black 2^(n-1)+1 away. Virtually the sole consideration for white will then be what play maximizes the chances of winning a backgammon.
Suppose white has 5 on the 2 and 10 on the ace. Black has 2 on the bar and has 13 blots scattered throughout the board including 6 in the homeboard.
How to play double aces?
