This statement doesn't imply he would have got full price for the additional copies beyond the first one. Unless the books are edible (my copy doesn't appear to be, though I admit I have not kept it refrigerated) the only use the opponent would have for them would be resale, and so he'd want a discount so he could make a profit. You'd need to know either the discount rate or rate structure, or else the loss amount to complete the data table.

Of course Paul is not starving. He cashed in his return ticket to the US and will be enjoying tea and crumpets (whatever those are) for quite awhile before he has to find a serious pigeon or three. Paul, if you are still stranded there I will swing by London to see you on my way to Monte Carlo in 2015 or 6.
