Kibitzers and expiration dates

I agree on both counts.

The problem with letting kibitzers interfere is that there is no good calibration. I know there are kibitzers whose egos are so big and capacity of observation so limited that they would be jumping in when no impropriety occurred. How often will TWO players, directly involved in a meaningful match, both miss an illegal move? It may not be P(1)^2, but it ought to be pretty close.

I also prefer the statute of limitations to expire with the roll, but I've heard some (who post here) feel differently, at least when they're competing against someone they know well and trust. Maybe those people will speak up.
