Some things to look at (if you-plural haven't already, and if you're concerned or curious enough to devote the time):

1) What do these translate to in MWC units?

2) What bearoff d.b.'s are in use, and when do they kick in?

In terms of cubeless GWC, it appears as though XG says 39.8% and GNU-bg says 40.0%. This could be due to bearin differences but it also could be due to truncated evaluations and whether the bearoff d.b. has been activated at truncation time.
