I don't even know (of) Nancy Laiderman, unless you misspelled the name of that basketball player. :) I think you may be a bit off on your dates for RAMwell (Robert A. Meese + Dave Cardwell) unless Dave was possibly recording matches before they began their collaboration. I'm 95% sure Butch didn't even know how to play backgammon in the 70's. (He learned by taking a class during lunchhours at work -- the long ago defunct Bell Labs, Indianapolis branch -- from fellow employee Lawrence Strommen.) I as still playing BG in Indy in 1979 and don't remember having met any of the three of them (Cardwell, Strommen, Meese) until much later. (I do know that Larry and Butch were playing in the early 80's when I was living in Colorado.)
