Gotta break a point...which one?

First question for me is: "does the centered cube affect the decision?" You may not have to clear both midpoints to win this game.
Even though this isn't a classic Fram problem, giving up the 8-point just seems to perpetuate the problem.
Completely clearing a point (e.g. 13/8, 13/10) is worth consideration, but it appears to diversify opp's hit+covers, and it also helps get him on his way over your 4-prime in a timely fashion.
For me it's between 14/6 and 13/7. If not for White's two homeboard blots, 14/6 looks thematic since the remaining (13-) point to clear has two landing spots a single die away instead of just one. Also, the new homeboard spare is better placed on after 14/6. However, if opp hits he's also going to want to cover in the HB, which means leaving more shots if that hit is on the 13-point. Upon further anticipation of the future of this game, opp will likely be giving up his midpoint before you have to clear your remaining midpoint, so the ease of clearing the 13- over the 14-point could be a small or nonexistent issue. In addition, keeping the 14-point makes it more difficult for opp to clear his midpoint.
One last point is that opp's 5-5 roll plays much better if you leave the blot on the 14-point. If it's otherwise close then this will swing the decision.
I've talked myself into playing...
13/5.
