2010 Danish Championship format

In Response To: 2010 Danish Championship format (Daniel Murphy)

Players getting four wins before the final round in the qualifications, did they have anything to play for (except rating points) in the final rounds? If not, were there any discussions about playing matches where one player maybe doesn't care much about the outcome?
