Segways are dangerous for me!

Before it was released there was all this speculation about Kamen's invention, which supposedly was going to revolutionize life and have as much of an impact on civilization as the auto, the airplane, the microwave, and the thing I use to trim my nose hair all rolled into one. There was talk about everyone from Bill Gates to Mother Theresa investing. Enormous hype. Then it was unveiled and turned out to be a scooter. I have a friend who is richer than Jimi Heselden (you met him at my wedding Paul) who bought one very shortly after the release. He thought it was kind of fun, but I'll bet it has been parked in his closet for years.
