Without going into boring details about why I would know anything about bots, I agree with your post. I liked your reference from Drbob (from Canada - not the BG player from NY). His last post on that site was in 2000. Is there any chance he still plays BG? If so, he could tell us if he had heard or seen the term before or was using shorthand.
