Paul:

I understand your grievance, but I'm not sure that you are serving the community well by continuing to air it. Bill Davis has done more for US backgammon than anyone I can think of offhand apart from maybe CJC, and so impugning his directing efforts seems like cutting off the nose to spite the face.

I definitely agree with you on clocks, though. We are having clocks mandatory at Santa Fe next year, and I basically won't play without clocks any more.
