This reminds me of an old BG axiom: "when you have a choice between making two good points, choose the one that's more difficult to make."

As with any axiom, there are exceptions and you can carry them too far. Here it applies loosely as making points may not be your primary plan. But look how much trouble those back checkers are in: they're behind a 4-prime and not even linked up (as in "they are both blots!"). If you PoH on the 3-point, those back checkers are still a major problem.
