In Response To: The Time Management Problem (Rich Munitz)

Suppose we are flipping a weighted coin in which the chance of H's is constant and the trials are independent.

Contest 1: You have H's I have T's. First to 7 wins. Contest 2: We flip the coin 13 times. If there are at least 7 H's you win.

Do you agreee that your chance of winning is exactly the same for the two contests? If you don't agree you have some misconception that needs to be fixed before going on.
