David Rockwell wrote, "The matches are all independent and should all be played as you would any 7 point match. The only possible exception to this is if you see psychological or stamina weaknesses to exploit. If you do, exploit them."

Let's say that A wins the first match and senses that his opponent B is frustrated and steaming. If B is going to be taking later than he should, then maybe A should double a bit later.
