I don't know who your friend is that won the gold coins, but I do know the loser. He paid with gold coins so his wife wouldn't find out how much money he lost at backgammon. As I remember, Sam is right, he always paid at a fair rate. The good news is that he could well afford the loss; the bad news is that he refused to play me. I wanted some of those gold coins.
