Thanks Chiva (and Mochy) from a player and from the USBGF!

I want to thank Chiva and his staff for all of their hard work in running a flawless event.

There were no issues with clock play (other than players who didn't know how to set the clocks), and the required "Legal Moves" at this event also did not result in any problems.

I also want to thank Chiva for his continued unwavering support of the USBGF. With the low turnout, this cannot have been a profitable event, yet Chiva donated not only the $1/player that he pledged at the start, but also half of the proceeds ($300) from the auction of a beautiful backgammon set which was to be awarded as a prize in a side tournament, but Chiva entered the tournament and won it himself with an exciting DMP win over Mochy!

Speaking of Mochy, I want to thank Mochy for his decision today to join the USBGF as a Gold Founding Sponsor, conveying a lifetime membershipu. We had a great chat today about the mission of the USBGF and I am glad to see that he believes so deeply in what we are trying to achieve, and supports it with deeds.

Those players who have not yet supported the USBGF with a $40 membership, I hope you will all follow Chiva's and Mochy's great examples. You can join online with a credit card at http://usbgf.org I should point out that approximately 10% of current USBGF members are not from the USA. The benefits of membership are universal and so is the cause.
