It is not clear to me why S does better at many scores than it does at any of the four basic scores. One possibility is that it may relate to the valuation of gammons at the centered cube gammon value. This raises a theoretical issue since most games will not be played to conclusion with an unturned cube. In other words, I question playing S at any score despite what the rollouts are telling us.
