In Response To: OT -- Weekend Football Observations -- Long (Bill Riles)

Thanks to the work of Chuck and Frank, many bgonliners are far more enlightened about some aspects of football strategy than the vast majority of college and pro coaches, who get paid millions of dollars per year.

For example, we all know they punt far too often, thereby greatly reducing their winning chances.

How could it possibly be possible that some of us who have never played football (and earn less than 1% of what some coaches earn) know so much more than they do about some aspects of football strategy?

How could it possibly be possible that so many who have never run a backgammon tournament could understand some aspects of it far better some who have done it for decades?
