No moreso than you.
Perhaps we might try a backgammon analogy. Trailing by 40 pips with a 6-2 to play, given the opportunity and choice, do you run with your lone checker on your opponent's ace or deuce point banking on two sets of sixes to win the race and providing him/her an uncontested bearoff? Or do you hang around, providing a bit of interference, and making him/her play more carefully and conservatively? And maybe he/she screws up and/or gets screwed by an unfortunate roll, or sequence of rolls, and your lone little checker gets a shot for the win?
I know I'm not providing the level of intricate detail you might prefer, but go with me here as a generality.
Just curious.
