Bill, that you are easily peeved and inclined to take (and make) comments, arguments and disagreements personally is old news. I care as much about your oddly recurrent urge to call me names as, I imagine, Coach Stoops cares whether you call him a moron. LOL at the playground rhetoric. Get a grip. Or don't, for all I care. Does seem a little odd, though, that a grown man can't be comfortable with his own opinions without disparaging other persons -- you've done that time and again in this forum.

More interestingly, this two-point conversion chart says go for 1, but this one says go for 2. The first chart is apparently credited to Tommy Prothro in the 1960's, and the second to Dick Vermeil in the 1970's. Neither charts factors in time remaining or conversion success rate. This chart from 2004 does, and suggests that, down 9 (after the TD) with 3 minutes remaining, going for two points is correct if the 2-point conversion rate exceeds 40%.
