It seems so heartbreakingly unfair that Chuck (and Frank) already know the answer to this question, and yet aren't sharing it!

I will freely admit to not knowing the answer - or not pretending to think I know. I love watching football, and my inclination is to go with Bill, despite the obvious logical explanations already given. However, I am interested, what is right? Does it depend on how much time remains, and to what extent? What is the cutoff time for going for 2 (if it exists)?

Also, just to iterate Bill's #1 pt in his initial post, being a Dolphins fan, I too was disgusted by that blatantly bullshit call from the referees. However, I do recognize that the Dolphins failed to capitalize on earlier (and later) situations, and who knows what happens if the refs give the ball to them at the 20.

I don't follow much more college football than the Wisconsin Badgers, I will go to an occasional game, look at results, but thats about it. Two kids, a wife, and a Sunday of NFL is all I am allowed. Cant have an entire Saturday too. Oh, and I play BG like its a heroin addiction. I consider myself lucky to have such an understanding wife, and such mischevious kids.
