...Could you, theoretically, analyze a football game and give a PR to the two coaches?

We did that for three years straight for the NFL, publishing all three:

The way we did the studies was strongly opportunistic. We tallied the errors in GWC, but for customized teams. So when you start the game (as some really bad teams do) with < 20% GWC, it's hard to make a big error. We toyed with some other metrics, and surely could do a better job today, e.g. with something similar to BG's emg measure.
