OT -- College Football

It's both 'objective' (computer ratings based on strength of opponents, etc), and voting by journalists and coaches.

The problem is that there are 11 different conferences and no playoff system in place, so they attempt to 'rank' these 120 teams in this single massive league, when teams only play 12 opponents. It really isn't doable without dispute.

The attempt is made to 'make sure' they have the correct #1 and #2 teams at the end so there will be a proper 'championship game', but cynics still call this the 'Mythical National Champioships'.

And Bill, I think Oregon would eat Boise or TCU's lunch. That is really a terrifying team.
