11/8 looks like the 3. Ace is either 3/2 or 2/1. I prefer the latter as it's a bit more diverse (less committal?). White won't likely break an anchor next turn nor the turn after. Blue will be playing safe. I don't see the need to button up just yet since more checkers are likely to be going deep in the board, anyway.

Summary: 11/8, 2/1.
